According to Yahoo!, The Fellowship of the Ring has exceeded 300 Million dollars in North America. The movie has grossed 305 million dollars in it's 17 week run. Harry Potter's current box office receipts exceed 315 million dollars, making 2001 a excellent year for Fantasy films.

Liv Tyler will be playing Arwen in the upcoming movie. A rumour also says that another cast member will be Dominic Monaghan (as Merry), but this is just a rumour.
